Title: Technical Support Helpdesk

Job Summary:
In this role you will work under general supervision. You may lead and direct the work of others in the absence of the designated supervisor. A limited degree of creativity and latitude is expected. You must comply with all physical, data, and IT security, and health and safety policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provides telephone support to end users on a variety of issues; identifies, researches and resolves technical problems
  • Responds to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support, tracks and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution
  • Resolves PC software configuration problems and remotely installs software products or approved patches
  • Troubleshoots computer problems, performs hardware and software diagnostics and coordinates needed repairs
  • Resolves computer system problems, including coordination between users, product line Specialists and components of the Local Area Network support staff
  • Diagnoses, isolates and analyzes problems utilizing historical database records
  • Documents user's problems through the use of an online problem management system including opening, updating status and closing problem tickets
  • Monitors problem ticket queue to ensure all assigned tasks are completed within specified metric requirements

Requirements:
  • Associate Degree or equivalent in a related field - combination of experience and formal technical training may be substituted for formal education
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience, 1+ of which must have been in a supervisory capacity
  • Security + certification
  • MCP certification
  • MOS Certification in two of the following: Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Advanced knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the field
  • Relies on documented policies, processes and procedures to accomplish task objectives
  • Good communications to all internal levels of the organization on technical matters
  • UNIX, CAD, Groove, P2 or Support Soft experience would be a plus
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug testing is a must. US citizenship is required in order to obtain Security Clearance.
